A Pretty bead, but damaged goods ...

I made this bead last week, and while I cleaned the hole, it slipped out of my hand. One of the tiny black dots on the edge of the bead chipped off. I REALLY loved this bead. The colours, the pattern, everything about it! Ugh.

Diana, these beads are stunning. I would still use it in a piece of jewelry. The dot could be hidden behind a bail.

You are right, Jen. It was just such a damn pity

Couldn't you slowly heat it up in the kiln, then take it back to the torch put a new dot on it then re-anneal?
Just a thought.......Val

Hi Val
I was scared that I might damage the whole bead during the heating process. I gifted it to a good friend, hopefully she can use it in a way to hide the damage!
